CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />December 5, 2024 <br />Public Works <br />VII.9 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Successful Probationary Period - Alex Barmettler - Public Works Technician <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />New employees are subject to a probationary period of 6 months under the city's personnel policy, and in this <br />case the union contract. At the end of that period, subject to a successful performance review, they are made a <br />permanent part of the staff. <br />Alex has performed satisfacorily during his probationary period ending 11/5/2024. Alex has worked well into <br />complementing the department's abilities and expanding knowledge with his background. It is recommended <br />that he become a permanent full time staff member with all benefits. <br />COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br />Previously budgeted staff position.
