CITY OF CENTERVILLE PROCLAMATION Head Election Judge Shirley Sundquist WHEREAS, Shirley Sundquist has showed her political activism by devoting numerous hours of her personal time to being trained to serve in the capacity of Election Judge, Head Election Judge while balancing her personal life of a husband and a gamut of other organizations that she devotes her time to; and WHEREAS, she has served her community for 24 years; and WHEREAS, she has taken pride in being prompt, working until the polls were closed and all accounting had been generated and reconciled; and WHEREAS, she has exhibited her education and attention to detail in the electoral processes ensuring regulated methodologies were utilized in providing a fair and legal voting process for candidates and residents alike; and WHEREAS, Shirley has been well respected by her peers, never faltered with her responsibilities and always shown the true teamwork mentality by having concern for others and their recognition of service throughout the years; and WHEREAS, Shirley officially passes the Head Election Judge title on to others that may desire to serve in the capacity as of November 5, 2024. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Centerville acknowledges, with sincere appreciation, the dedication and loyal service of Shirley Sunquist for her 24 years of distinguished service to the residents of our city. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council, staff and residents extend their congratulations and best wishes to Shirley and her family for the many years of health, happiness, and success in retirement.
