<br /> <br />RESOLUTION #24-XXX <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CENTERVILLE TOBACCO <br />TOBACCO SALE VIOLATION PENALTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Centerville Tobacco, located at 1869 Main Street in the City of Centerville, holds a license <br />for the sale of tobacco products; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 24, 2024, Centerville Tobacco failed a compliance check when its licensee <br />sold tobacco products to an underage decoy; and <br /> <br />MOREOVER, this is the first tobacco sale license violation of the business; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Centerville Code of Ordinances §116.99(a), any licensee found to have <br />violated the tobacco sale license regulations shall be charged an administrative fine which shall be <br />determined by resolution of the City Council for a first violation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Centerville 2024 Fee Schedule authorizes a fine in the amount of $250 for a <br />first tobacco sale license violation; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Centerville Tobacco is hereby found to have violated the tobacco sale license regulations <br />of Centerville Code of Ordinances Chapter 116, and is hereby directed to pay a fine in the <br />amount of $250 for the violation. <br />2.
