<br /> <br />Date: January 16, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Mark Statz, City Administrator <br /> <br />Subject: Leadership Transition Plan <br />Interim City Administrator Duties and Compensation <br /> <br /> <br />With the resignation of City Administrator Mark Statz, staff is proposing a Leadership Transition <br />Plan that outlines responsibilities for Interim City Administrator Athanasia Lewis. Staff is <br />confident that the proposed plan will continue the continuity of operations, while simultaneously <br />advancing council-adopted goals. <br /> <br />The recommended core duties for the Interim City Administrator are noted below. Many of the <br />responsibilities outlined below are the same as those of the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Responsibilities <br /> Develop yearly work plan and budget in collaboration with Department Heads to carry out <br />the City CouncilÓs annual goals, guidelines and strategies. <br /> Recommend organizational and policy planning priorities with well documented, objective <br />reports designed to inform and advise the Council in establishing public policy. <br /> Provide information related to contemplated municipal projects and programs as required by <br />City Council. <br /> Keep City Council updated on City business, projects, budgets, and fiscal condition of the <br />City. <br /> Oversee preparation of the budget, annual financial statement, annual report and submission <br />of all required reports to the State of Minnesota and County as required. <br /> Oversee cost control activities; monitor revenues and expenditures to assure sound budget <br />and fiscal controls. <br /> Represent the City at various events and functions. <br /> <br /> <br />157 <br /> <br />
