Supervisory experience <br />MasterÓs Degree in Public Administration or complimentary/related field <br />NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />Ability to establish and maintain effective, respectful and professional working <br />relationships with supervisors, elected officials, co-workers, subordinates, candidates and <br />the general public, some of whom may be hostile. <br />Ability to plan and organize work. <br />Ability to work independently, self-motivate and demonstrate intiative <br />Skills and Knowledge of basic computer usage, including the use of word processing, <br />spreadsheet, database and other such software. <br />Skills in verbal and written communication. <br />Ability to arrive to work on time. <br />OTHER BENEFICIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: <br />Human Resources topics including: onboarding, employment law, benefit administration, <br />diversity and inclusion programs, etc. <br />Communications topics, including: Social Media, website administration, mobile apps and <br />other modern communication tools <br />Public Engagement or Public Relations <br />Graphic Arts <br />Accounting practices, software and principals <br />Financial analysis <br />Civil Engineering, City Planning or Public Works <br />Emergency Management <br />Elections <br />Code Enforcement <br />Strategic Planning <br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: <br />None <br />TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: <br />Requires frequent use of a work-issued, personal computer (including word processing and <br />spreadsheet software) and network computer system.
