CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: January 22, 2025 Engineering IX.4 TITLE OF ISSUE: Engineering Proposal - 2025 Thin Overlay Project BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Attached is a proposal from the city's engineering consultant, Stantec, for the work associated with the feasibility report, design, bidding and construction observation associated with the 2025 Thin Overlay project. City Public Works Staff may be able to do the Construction Services work outlined in the proposal to save on costs. Staff has spoken with Stantec about this possibility and they are comfortable with us doing that as long as we are able to make a decision on that a month or two prior to construction so they can plan their staffing. The costs for this work are broken out in the proposal and listed as "optional". COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: $28,100 (Feas. Study, Design, Bidding) $18,990 (Optional - Const.
