<br />Annual Skate/Sled Night <br />The Committee and Wargo Nature Center held their first of two Skate/Sled events on January 10, 2025 at <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. There were approximately 80-90 individuals that participated. The weather <br />was a balmy 21 degrees, the Public Works Department delivered a wonderful quality of ice, Wargo Nature <br />Center provided kicksleds, fat tire bikes and educational opportunities about their programs and <br />opportunities available to the public. The Committee provided free hot cocoa, popcorn, smore’s and a <br />bonfire. It you missed this one, don’t worry – there is another scheduled for February 15, 2025, from 6:30 <br />– 9 p.m. Hopefully there will be enough snow for sledding and Wargo Nature Center will be back with their <br />kicksleds, fat tire bikes and snowshoes. Come on out and join us. <br /> <br />Hiring P.T. – Rink Attendants <br />The city is hiring rink attendants. Attendants are responsible for opening/closing the warming house during <br />their work shift, maintaining cleanliness of the warming house and restrooms, and shoveling of snow from <br />walkways and rinks if minimal amounts are deposited.
