Project Banjo -Existing Noise Assessment
November 27, 2024-Page3
Noise Regulations
The distribution center is located in Centerville, MN. The City of Centerville Code of Ordinances
describes the standards that are used for excessive noises. The daytime and nighttime sound level
limits vary based on the duration of the sound and the district in which the sound is received. The
duration of sound hours will follow daylight savings time for both residential and commercial/industrial
districts. Daytime hours will be from 7 am 10 pm from the first Sunday in April through the third
Saturday ofOctober. All other dates will adhere to daytime hours of 7 am 9 pm.
The values listed in Table 1represent the upper limit of acceptable sound levels and applies to the
property line and/or zoning designation boundary. The values are given in terms of the hourly,
A-weighted, equivalent sound level in decibels \[dB(A)\].
Table 1.
