CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />February 12, 2025 <br />Administration <br />VII. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Connect Anoka County Connectivity Services - Contract Extension <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The city received notification from the County that the fee for our broadband services is increasing $75.00 per <br />month to $150/month for 100mbs. Our current contract expires in August and the fees have not been increased <br />for thirteen years. Staff reached out to Metro-INET to determine our current usageIT advised that <br />average 31mbs, so 100mbs is sufficient. Staff r <br />a quote from Comcast Business and their upload speed . <br />The attached agreement extends our contract for 5 years.
