CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: March 12, 2025 Engineering VIII.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: Grant Application - Rice Creek Watershed District - City Hall Campus Stormwater Reuse BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Last year the council discussed various options to enhance the aesthetics of the city hall campus. Staff proposed adding an irrigation system utilizing a stormwater reuse system. At their December 11, 2024 meeting, council authorized staff to submit an application to the Rice Creek Watershed District for this project. The project requires a 50% match. The city has been notified that it has received an award from the Rice Creek Watershed District, in the amount of $25,000, for an irrigation system using a stormwater reuse system. Staff is seeking authorization to accept the award and to provide matching funds in the amount of $25,000 for this project. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: Stormwater Fund $25,000 REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to accept a grant from the Rice Creek Watershed District, in the amount of $25,000, and provide a $25,000 match for the City Hall Campus Stormwater Reuse project.
