Off-street parking requirements in the C-1, C-2, and C-3 Districts are as follows: A <br />parking space shall consist of at least 200 square feet exclusive of drives or aisles. <br />(a) Banks and Offices for Service and Professional Businesses -one (1) space for every one hundred seventy <br />(170) square feet of floor area. <br />(b) Bowling alleys -five (5) parking spaces for each alley. <br />(c) Dance Halls, Assembly Halls -one (1) space for every one hundred (100) square feet of floor gross area or <br />one (1) space for every three seats used for dancing or assembly. <br />(d) Hotels and Motels -one (1) parking space for each one (1) bedroom. Chapter 13 77 <br />(e) Manufacturing Plants -one (1) parking space for each two (2) employees on the maximum working shift. <br />(f) Restaurants and Nightclubs -one (1) parking space for every 100 square feet of useable floor area. <br />(g) Retail Stores -one (1) parking space for every two hundred (200) square feet of sales area. <br />(h) Sports Arenas and Auditoriums, other than in schools -one (1) parking space for each six (6) seats. <br />(i) Theaters and Assembly Halls with fixed seats -one (1) parking space for each five (5) seats. <br />(j) Wholesale Establishments or Warehouses -one (1) parking space for every (1) employee. <br />(k) Uses not mentioned in this Subsection. The parking requirement for uses not listed in this Subsection may be <br />established by the city based on the characteristics of the use and available information on parking demand <br />for such use. <br />(a) Off-Street parking in residential districts shall be used only for the parking of vehicles, except as permitted <br />in home occupations. <br />(b) The following parking spaces shall be required: Churches and Schools -one (1) parking space for each <br />three (3) seats in the principal auditorium. When no auditorium is involved, one (1) parking space for <br />everyone (1) employee. Dwelling -two (2) parking spaces for each family or dwelling unit. <br /> <br />
