Project Banjo - Existing Noise Assessment
November 27, 2024 - Page 4
Note that a water fountain is located in the pond behind the residence at 1953 Eagle Trail and was a
noticeable source of noise near LT 1 during daytime and nighttime hours.
To assess existing noise conditions at noise-sensitive land uses near the Project Banjo site, two long-
term noise measurements were collected for a 24-hour duration from May 13, 2024 to May 14, 2024.
Larson Davis LxT Type 1 Precision Integrating Sound Level Meters were set up at two long-term
monitoring locations near the Project Banjo site. One meter was placed northwest of the site,
th
adjacent to the multi-use path between Eagle Trail and 20 Avenue S, and the second meter was
placed southwest of the site, east of the residence located at 1965 Center Street. Long-term noise
measurement hourly Leq values obtained in the field ranged between approximately 42 dB(A) and
59 dB(A). The long-term noise field data of each monitoring site is summarized in Table 2.
Table 2. Data
collected by the noise meters included time, average noise level (Leq), maximum noise level (Lmax),
and instantaneous peak noise level (Lpk) for each interval. Hourly average noise levels (Leq(h)) were
derived from the Leq values. The existing noise measurements were collected under meteorologically
acceptable conditions and were conducted based on the acceptable collection of existing noise level
readings. Pictures of each field monitoring setup are shown in Table 3, and the locations of the
monitoring sites are shown in Figure 2.

kimley-horn.com
