Project Banjo - Existing Noise Assessment
November 27, 2024 - Page 6
Conclusions
The Project Banjo site is generally located north of Fairview Street, south of Commerce Drive, east of
thst
20 Avenue S, and west of 21 Avenue S. The site is mainly surrounded by a mix or residential and
commercial land uses to the north, south, and west as well as undeveloped land to the east.
After measuring existing noise levels near the residential land uses west of the Project Banjo site, it
was determined that the existing noise environment generally consists of noise generated from traffic
th
along 20 Avenue S, Main Street, and I-35E, activities from nearby residential and commercial land
uses, and environmental sources (i.e., wind in trees, birds, insects, etc.). The existing noise levels
measured near the residential land uses west of the Project Banjo site averaged approximately
52 dB(A) and 56 dB(A) throughout the entire day.
It was observed that noise associated with trucks and employee vehicles intermittently accessing the
Project Banjo site throughout the daytime and nighttime hours did not cause noticeable increases in
existing noise levels and are consistent with the average daytime and nighttime noise levels
th
previously monitored in the field near the residences west of 20 Avenue S. At this time, compliance
with the established noise goals for the development is achieved.
kimley-horn.com
