<br />AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />April 9, 2025 <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />Solar Installation Update <br />The city received a grant for solar panels to be installed on the <br />city hall roof. All panels and wiring have been installed, and <br />the system is close to being operational. Monday, April 7, <br />2025, the City Hall will experience an electrical outage from <br />approximately 8 a.m. Î 9 a.m. for final wiring. City Hall will <br />remain open and operational during this period; however, staff <br />will be unable to answer the telephone during this time. <br />Vendors and residents will be able to leave voicemail <br />messages, and staff will return calls once the power is restored. <br />We apologize for any inconveniences. We are taking one more <br />step to become green! <br /> <br />ASSESSOR CORNER <br />Taxes Payable 2025 Statements and Valuation Notices <br />In mid-March, Anoka County will be mailing out <br />statements for Property Taxes Payable in 2025 and <br />Valuation Notices (2024 Value that taxes will be based on <br />in 2026). You should have received the statement by now. <br />For general questions about these statements, Anoka <br />County has an online resource at: <br />https://www.anokacounty.us/281/About-Your-Tax- <br />Statements <br /> <br />Regarding the Valuation Notice: If you believe the valuation <br />or classification of your property is incorrect, call the <br />Centerville City Assessor, Mary Wells at 763-412-1966, Ext <br />#1 to discuss it. Many issues can be resolved with a phone <br />call to the Assessor. There is also a formal appeal option, <br />which is at the Centerville Local Board of Appeal & <br />Equalization meeting, held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, <br />at 6:30 p.m., or shortly thereafter, at Centerville City Hall in <br />Council Chambers. If you plan to appear at this meeting to <br />appeal your property, please call Mary Wells ahead of time <br />so she can research your questions prior to the meeting. <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION <br />Parks & Recreation Projects <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park Play Structure Equipment <br />The Parks & Recreation CommitteeÓs subcommittee is reviewing the RFPs for park play structure equipment <br />and will be following up with questions to the vendors. Stay tuned. <br /> <br />Annual Park Cleanup <br />The Committee set their date for their Annual Park Cleanup of April 19, 2025, with a rain date of April 26, <br />2025, meeting at City Hall at 9 a.m. and disbursing to local parks for cleanup. Safety gear and garbage bags <br />will be provided by the city.
