I'm not trying to be a "difficult"
neighbor, but I do need to protect our financial interests and I hope we can jointly come to an agreement
that satisfies all parties.
I first learned of the variance through attendance at the 4/1/25 P&Z Commission Meeting, and I
understand this topic has been scheduled for Public Hearing on May 6, 2025. Approval of this project
would result in a very large Recreational Structure (Pool House/Entertainment Area/Garage/Wet
Bar/Covered Patio) and Swimming Pool/Deck/Fence in a front yard on Mound Trail.
I am concerned by the Commission's consideration of the variance request(s) as this project:
1) Clearly alters the essential character of the locality, a condition that should in itself result in
denial.
2) Is in opposition to previous Commission decisions upholding the Zoning Code of Ordinances
over the past 20+ years.
3) Violates common practice and diminishes property value.
1
45
