CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RES. #25-0 <br /> RESOLUTION <br />ACCEPTING BIDS FOR 2025 THIN OVERLAY STREET IMPROVEMENTS <br />PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2025 Thin Overlay Street <br />Improvement Project, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to the law, and <br />the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Total Base Bid Alternate #1 Alternate #2 <br />Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. $441,226.90 $45,376.80 $45,062.80 <br />#2 North Valley, Inc. $453,124.15 $42,463.57 $42,318.42 <br />#3 North Oaks Paving$498,260.00 $44,607.50 $43,505.00 <br />#4 Park Construction Company$521,998.50 $43,239.75 $42,909.25 <br />#5 Bituminous Roadways Inc. $586,075.00 $60,967.50 $58,565.00 <br />WHEREAS, Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />1.The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached <br />contract for the total base bid of $441,226.90 with Asphalt Surface Technologies Corp., in <br />the name of the city of Centerville, MN for the 2025 Thin Overlay Street Improvements <br />according to the plans and specs therefor approved by the city council and on file in the <br />office of the city clerk. <br />2.The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville on this 14th day of May, 2025. <br />Mayor, Nancy Golden <br />Attest: <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />86 <br /> <br />
