None <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. Variance Request Î Dreamscape/AlexÓs (Sign) <br />Interim Administrator Lewis introduced this item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued <br />th <br />about the sign: what it looks like and its placement in relation to other signs along the 20 ave. <br />The CityÓs consulting planner reviewed the staff recommendation and findings of fact from his <br />memo. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Carciofini, seconded by Commissioner Thompson to recommend <br />approval of a sign variance for Dreamscapes, along with the staff recommendations and <br />findings of fact. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Variance Request Î 1421 Mound Trail Î Accessory Structure (Garage) <br />Interim Administrator Lewis introduced this item as presented. There was no further discussion by <br />the Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Thompson, seconded by Commissioner Carciofini to recommend <br />approval of a variance for an accessory structure as presented, along with staff <br />recommendations and findings of fact. <br /> <br />The applicant noted that the final drawing for the accessory structure is not included in the packet Î <br />his architect was still working on the drawing and he should have it next week. <br /> <br />Commissioner Seppala made a friendly amendment to the motion to include that the accessory <br />structure could be in any configuration as long as it meets the 802sf. Commissioner Thompson <br />accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Carciofini made a friendly amendment requesting that all regulations in city <br />code and the staff memo are met. Commissioner Thompson accepted the friendly amendment. <br /> <br />Restated motion by Commissioner Seppala, seconded by Commissioner Thompson, to <br />recommend to city council approval of a variance for an accessory structure in any <br />configuration that does not exceed 802sf and meets all city codes and requirements. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. APPROVAL OF MIN UTES <br />1. April 1, 2025, 2025, Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />Interim Administrator Lewis introduced this item as presented. Chair Kalina noted a correction on <br />pg. 62, noting that the minutes should reflect Ðinterim administrator LewisÑ instead of ÐStatz.Ñ <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Krueger, seconded by Commissioner Olson to approve the April 1, <br />2025, Planning and Zoning Commission minutes as revised.
