<br />AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />July 9, 2025 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />The city has hired Athanasia Lewis as its new Administrator. Athanasia <br />has served as the interim Administrator since mid-February. She has over 10 years of <br />experience leading small to mid-size cities and towns through growth and transition. <br />Athanasia holds a Master of Science degree in Public Administration (MPA) and has <br />certifications in economic development, project management, and environmental <br />sustainability management. Please stop by City Hall to say hello and introduce yourself. <br /> <br />City Council Vacancy - Accepting Applications <br />The city is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the City Council. The new <br />council member will fill the remainder of Council Member MosherÓs term, which <br />expires in January 2027. Applications can be submitted in person at City Hall, or <br />via email to Administrator Lewis at: alewis@centervillemn.com. Click here for an <br />application. <br /> <br /> <br />Empowering Small Minnesota Communities (ESMC) Team Kick-Off meeting <br />th <br />on July 8 at City Hall from 6:00p.m-7:30p.m. <br />The city received a grant through <br />the Empowering Small Minnesota <br />Communities (ESMC) program to <br />work with staff from the University <br />of Minnesota on a shared vision for <br />the community. There will be <br />several opportunities for residents <br />to share their ideas and/or <br />participate during this several- <br />month process. If you would like to learn more or get involved, please contact Administrator Lewis at: <br />alewis@centervillemn.com. <br /> <br />FETE DES LACS PARADE <br />The Parade Planning Committee is working diligently <br />on this yearÓs parade and would like to let residents and <br />visitors along the parade route know about road <br />closures; the Committee is also requesting that residents <br />plan accordingly to minimize any inconvenience caused <br />by the parade. <br /> <br />The parade will commence at 11 a.m. on July 19, 2025. <br />Streets affected by road closures are: Main Street, <br />Dupre Road and Meadow Lane. These roads will close <br />at 10:30 a.m. and will not be accessible to motorists <br />until the parade is over. Please anticipate increased <br />pedestrian traffic during the parade and note that there <br />may be increased noise levels during the event. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
