(1) Cornices, canopies or eaves may extend into the required front or street side yard <br />setback a distance not exceeding two feet, six inches; <br />(2) A covered or uncovered landing place, steps, or stoop may extend into the required <br />front or street side yard setback to a distance not exceeding six feet, if its floor is no <br />higher than the entrance floor of the building. An open railing no higher than three feet <br />may be placed around the structure. Such permitted encroachment shall not be enclosed <br />with walls, screens, windows, etc. but must be completely open and if covered, the cover <br />may be cantilevered or supported with columns and must be constructed in similar <br />quality and appearance as the building and may not be constructed with metal roofs or <br />metal columns; <br />(3) The above enumerated architectural features may also extend into any side or rear <br />yard setback to the same extent, except that no porch, terrace or outside stairway shall <br />project more than three feet into any side yard setback and then, in the case of an outside <br />stairway, only if it is unroofed and unenclosed above and below the steps. In no case shall <br />a porch, stair landing or any other architectural feature extend closer than four feet to the <br />side property line; and <br /> <br />Section 5. Revisions to § 156.166(M)(6) PARKING AND DRIVEWAY REQUIREMENTS. <br />(6) A driveway may include a paved parking or turnaround area not more than 8 feet by 18-feet <br />adjacent to a driveway connecting a roadway to a garage or front or street side setback yard. <br />Section 6. Revisions to § 156.167 TREE PLANTING. <br />Required trees should be planted in the front or street side setback yard and out of the right of <br />way and a minimum of 15 feet from the curb line and shall not be planted in a manner that <br />interferes with any current or planned utility line. Trees may not be planted under a power line <br />except low growing varieties approved by the City for such locations. <br />Section 7. Revisions to § 156.178(A)(2) LANDSCAPING. <br />NOTES: <br />1 Trees shall be deciduous and planted off the boulevard but in the front or side setback yard area. <br />2 Trees shall be deciduous. Unit exposures with street frontage shall be planted in the front or side <br />setback yard area consistent with section 156.181. <br />Section 8.
