<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION & CITY MEETING <br />May 28, 2025 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their Work Session prior to their <br />Regularly Scheduled Council Meeting of May 28, 2025, commencing at 5:00 p.m. The Council held their <br />regularly scheduled City Council Meeting at 6:30 p.m., in Council Chambers. The regularly scheduled <br />meeting (6:30 p.m.) was live streamed by North Metro TV. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION (5:00 PM) <br /> <br />I.CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Golden called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />1. Roll Call <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Golden <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Not Approved <br />Council Member Anita Rios <br /> <br />ABSENT: Council Member David Kubat <br /> Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Junior Council Member Sofie Wynn (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />STAFF: Interim City Administrator, Athanasia Lewis <br /> Finance Director, Bruce DeJong <br /> <br /> <br />V.DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />1.Capital Improvement Projects <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Lewis stated that staff would be presenting the Capital Improvement Plan for <br />the years 2025-2030. She stated that this would cover anticipated projects for Fund 402 Î Park Dedication, <br />409 Î Capital Replacement, 452 Î Street Improvement, 601 Î Water, 602 Î Sewer and 603 Î Storm Water. <br /> <br />Finance Director DeJong reviewed the information contained in the council packet. He stated that the <br />information would assist in a comprehensive understanding of the capital needs for the five-year term. He <br />stated that it has been past practice to review the plan on an annual basis. He felt that with several newer <br />members, he would assist them in the processes and understanding of the Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> <br />Additional discussion ensued. Finance Director DeJong answered questions posed by the council. <br /> <br />2. Civic Engagement <br /> <br />Interim City Administrator Lewis reviewed the information contained in the council packet. She stated <br />that the council has expressed an interest in exploring new avenues to increase civic engagement and/or <br />provide opportunities for the council to meet with the public to receive fresh ideas, concerns, etc. It was <br />stated that there were several upcoming events that members could participate in (e.g. Main Street Market, <br /> <br />
