City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />July 9, 2025 <br /> <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission Î Council Member Koski stated that the Commission <br />st <br />covered the topics from July 1 Î the ordinance and variance approval discussed earlier. <br />He stated that they are working on ordinance language defining land use. <br />(ii) Centennial Fire District Steering Committee Î Council Member Koski stated Fire <br />Steering is the 3rd week in July. <br />(iii) Anoka County Fire Protection Council Î Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> <br />c. Rios - <br />(i) Economic Development Authority Î Council Member Rios stated that the EDA met on <br />Monday. She stated that they reviewed and approved the 2026 budget. President Mark <br />Remillard will be presenting the budget to council. She stated that City Administrator <br />Lewis and herself went to the two strip malls and talked with each business asking for swag <br />and what they need from the city to promote their business. <br /> <br />d. Mosher Î <br />(i) Economic Development Authority Î Council Member Mosher gave no report. <br />(ii) Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board Î Council Member Mosher <br />gave no report. <br /> <br />e. Golden Î <br />(i) Centennial Lakes Police Department Governing Board Î Mayor Golden stated that the <br />next meeting is August 11. <br />(iii) North Metro Telecommunications Commission Î Mayor Golden stated that next <br />meeting is July 14. <br />(iv) Other Mayoral Reports Î Mayor Golden stated that there had been a lot of discussion <br />about SBM. She also thanked all the Lions and volunteers in the preparation for Fete des <br />Lacs. She stated that they are hosting a veteranÓs float Î if there were any veteranÓs that <br />would like to be on the float, she would sure love to have them. They can reach out to City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />f. Jr. Council Member Wynn Î Jr. Council Member Wynn stated that school is out but the fall <br />sports sign up had started; she noted that she highly encourages anyone interest in playing sports <br />to join. <br /> <br />g. Attorney Glaser Î Mr. Glaser stated that he wanted to reiterate how nice it was to see Ms. Moore, <br />Alexandra House, and how they are really an integral part of our city. He stated that there is a <br />direct line between what happens, the Centennial Lakes Police Department and Alexandra House <br />and how impactful they are serving people in need. He stated that perhaps the council would <br />consider donating to the Alexandra House in the future. He stated that every dollar that a city <br />spends is less than CLPD would have to spend on his office. He stated that it is a great organization. <br /> <br /> Mr. Glaser stated that Council Member Mosher has been great to work with for so long. He said <br />that he knows Council Member Mosher is in a good place because he gets to play golf and itÓs <br />warm. Happy Trails, take care.
