<br />AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />September 10, 2025 <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br /> <br />Over the course of this next year, city <br />staff, residents, and stakeholders will be <br />collaborating with the U of MN's <br />Resilient Communities Project and <br />Minnesota Design Center through the Empowering Small Minnesota Communities (ESMC) program. The <br />goal of the program is to help small Minnesota communities identify opportunities to capitalize on their assets <br />through infrastructure projects that support and enhance community vitality, identity, and resilience. Funding <br />for the partnership is provided by the Minnesota State Legislature. <br /> <br />The focus of the ESMC partnership will be on downtown redevelopment, residential development on vacant <br />parcels in the city, parks and trails, and connections to the lakes and other amenities. Your feedback is important to us. <br /> <br />2025 THIN MILL & OVERLAY PROJECT <br />Staff recently sent a mailing to property owners about construction work that will be taking place in their <br />immediate area. The scope of work consists of adjustment, pavement removal, curb replacement in selected <br />areas, paving, driveway access; these activities may impact sprinkler systems, dog fences, boulevard and <br />grass restoration, parking, trash and recycling, school buses and safety during construction. The construction <br />is expected to commence on September 10 and will likely last about 4-5 weeks (weather dependent). See the <br />map below. The following streets are a part of the project: Shad Avenue from Main Street North to Fox Run; <br />Heritage Street from Centerville Road to LaMotte Drive; LaMotte Drive from Heritage Street to the west <br />city limits; Center Street from Centerville Road east to Dupre Road; All of Tourville Circle and Oak Circle; <br />Pheasant Lane from Center Street to 280Ó north of Partridge Place; Dupre Road from 200Ó south of Center <br />Street to 200Ó north of Center Street; and all of Peltier Circle. <br /> <br /> <br />
