49 <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />RES. #2-0 <br /> RESOLUTION <br />RECOGNIZING NOVEMBER 11, 202, AS VETERANS DAY <br />WHEREAS, the residents of Centerville have the utmost respect, admiration, and gratitude <br />to the men and women who have selflessly served our country and this community in the <br />Armed Forces; and <br />WHEREAS, the contributions and sacrifices of those who have served in the Armed <br />Forces have been vital in maintaining the freedoms and way of life enjoyed by our citizens; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the city encourages residents to honor the sacrifices of our servicemen and <br />women by displaying green lights in the windows of homes and businesses during <br />Operation Green Light from November 4th through the 11th, 202. <br />WHEREAS, the National Association of Counties encourages all counties, parishes and <br />boroughs to recognize Operation Green Light for Veterans; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Centerville appreciates the sacrifices of our United States military <br />personnel and believes specific recognition should be granted; <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The Centerville City Council hereby recognizes <br />November 11, 202, as Veterans Day, and encourages residents to honor the sacrifices of <br />our servicemen and women by displaying green lights in the windows of homes and <br />businesses during Operation Green Light from November 4th through the 11th, 202. <br />Passed by the City Council of the City of Centerville on this 13th day of November 202. <br />Ma <br />Attest: <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br /> <br />
