70 <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />November 13, 2025 <br />Administration <br />VII. <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />6996 Brian Drive - Wet Backyard <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:Residents at 6996 Brian Drive have been <br />working with the city toward resolution of their wet backyard for quite some time. Early this year the former <br />administrator proposed a cost/share option through the city's backyard drainage program - the cost/share option <br />was considered viable with the understanding that the neighbors would all sign special assessment waivers. <br />Since not all of the neighbors were willing to do this, the council requested that staff seek additional options <br />for helping the homeowner. The city engineer went out to the property to survey elevations of the pond, <br />adjacent homes, ditches, and culverts. The information collected was used to evaluate additional options and <br />costs associated with resolving this issue.
