Reference Chapter FEE <br /> Variable—Rate Per Thousand Gallons/Qtr. (0-500,000) $2.08 <br /> Variable—Rate Per Thousand Gallons/Qtr. (500,001-XXX) $2.71 <br /> *Multi Family buildings which do not have individual meters for each unit will be treated as <br /> commercial buildings (Capped at 5 REUs). Their tiered rate structure will be based on multiplying <br /> the residential tier thresholds by the number of units. <br /> Sewer/Wastewater fee(bi-monthly) <br /> Sewer Charges will include two components. The first is a flat fee covering the City's fixed and <br /> variable costs for sewer collection (Collection Rate). The second fee is to cover the variable charge <br /> for wastewater treatment (Treatment Fee). The Treatment charge will be the Treatment Fee rate <br /> multiplied times the water meter use for the billing period. To account for summer irrigation water not <br /> being treated, the charge for the July and through November billings shall not exceed the average <br /> use during the first billing period of that year and the final billing period of the prior year (winter <br /> average). If the home is unoccupied during a significant part of the winter period, the average <br /> shall be manually calculated using other reasonable means to determine the anticipated sewer <br /> treatment volume. <br /> Collection Rate Treatment Fee <br /> Residential charge $20.15/SAC Unit $ 3.6 8c/1,000 gal. <br /> Commercial/Institutional $29.95/SAC Unit $ 3.4586/1,000 gal. <br /> Sewer-only customers shall be charged a flat rate per SAC unit or may purchase a city water meter <br /> and install it on their well in order to be billed at the lower fixed and variable rates above.
