The second Skate/Sled night is scheduled for February 13, <br />2026, from 6:30-9:00 at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. Kick sleds and <br />snowshoes will be provided by Wargo Nature Center. This event includes <br />free hot cocoa, popcorn, music, and a bonfire. <br />Meeting and City Hall Schedule <br />January 19, 2026 – City Offices Closed in Observance of the MLK <br />Holiday <br />January 22, 2026 – City Council Meeting Work Session 5pm; Meeting <br />6:30pm <br />February 4, 2026 – Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting – Fire Hall, Station 3 <br />February 4, 2026 – Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting <br />February 12, 2026, City Council Meeting <br />February 18, 2026 – Economic Development Authority – 5:30p.m. <br />*All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place at City Hall in Council Chambers unless otherwise noted. <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />First annual community-wide celebration of winter will occur between February 13-21, 2026 <br />A wide range of activities will get residents out to enjoy the winter season and support local businesses. <br />Activities will be provided by local businesses, civic organizations, and Anoka County, with fun for all ages. <br />Event highlights include a coloring contest, a candlelight walk, a drink tour, a community campfire, and a <br />medallion hunt. Medallion Hunt clues begin on Monday, February 16th, with a cash prize of $500 <br />(coordinated and donated by Renstrom Dental Lab). See the growing list of activities below.
