City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 24, 2025 <br /> <br />He reported that the General Fund expenditures were up 4.8%, with Public Safety costs comprising 2/3 of <br />that amount. He also stated that there was a substantially higher levy increase because the City is suffering <br />considerable revenue losses in terms of building permits and one-time transfers in from other funds. <br /> <br />3. Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) <br /> <br />Finance Director DeJong reviewed the submitted 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan updates and <br />explained that changes were to costs and years of completion for many of the projects. He stated that the <br />information will be used to update the Long-Range Financial Management Plan that assists in guiding <br />budget decisions prior to final adoption of the 2026 Budget in December. <br /> <br />II. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Golden adjourned the Work Session Meeting at 6:25 p.m. allowing for a 5-minute <br />break prior to starting the regularly scheduled Council meeting.
