City of Centerville <br />City Council & Closed Exec. Session Meeting Minutes <br />October 9, 2025 <br /> <br />c) Resolution 25-0XX Î Summary Publication Ordinance #143, Second Series Amendment to <br />the City Code <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adopt <br />Resolution 25-034 Î Summary Publication Ordinance #143, Second Series as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML) <br /> <br />Administrator Lewis stated that this was discussed at a previous Work Session, is a state requirement, that <br />the city had an option to utilize a Private Plan which was highly recommended and less expensive. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Golden, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers to Adopt Resolution <br />25-034a Î Authorizing Private Paid Family & Medical Leave Insurance as presented. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. Scheduling the Strategic Planning Meeting <br /> <br />Administrator Lewis stated that council is requesting to schedule a Strategic Planning session now that <br />the vacant council seat has been filled. She stated that this meeting is typically completed on a Saturday <br />for 4-5 hours. She stated that staff suggested November 8 or 15. Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />suggested the week of November 17. Council Member Koski stated that he would rather have the session <br />on a weekend. City Administrator and Council scheduled November 22, 2025, with a backup date of <br />December 6, 2025. It was stated that the meeting would take place in the Oneka Room at Hugo City Hall. <br /> <br />4. November & December Council Meetings <br /> <br />Administrator Lewis stated that past practice had been that Council only held one meeting during the <br />months of November and December due to holidays and she suggested scheduling Work Session prior to <br />the meetings for November 13, and December 11, 2025. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Rios to schedule Work Sessions <br />for November 13 and December 11, 2025, prior to CouncilÓs regular meetings allowing for the ability <br />to cancel the second meetings of both months. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMETS <br /> <br />AdministratorÓs Report ÎAdministrator Lewis stated that the AdministratorÓs Report was contained in <br />councilÓs packet and that she would answer questions. She added a note that the next University of <br />Minnesota Advisory Board meeting was October 29, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. <br /> <br />1. Council Report <br /> <br />a.
