Anoka County2025 Hazard Mitigation Planz.umn.edu/AnokaHMP <br /> <br />Wildfire:We have a growing wildland-urban interface where large, mixed field/marsh/wetland <br />environments back up to large housing developments. <br /> <br />City of Saint Francis <br /> <br />Windstorms, Tornadoes: There are numerous parks in the city, some without storm shelters. <br /> <br />City of Spring Lake Park <br /> <br />All Hazards: Within the city of Spring Lake Park we have several assisted living and retirement <br />homes that would be difficult to evacuate in an emergency. <br /> <br />Linwood Township <br /> <br />Wildfire: Wildfire is a concern as there is a wildland urban interface throughout the town <br />including approximately 6,000 acres of Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area. In addition to <br />this, Anoka County has a regional park consisting of approximately 800 acres within Linwood <br />Township. <br /> <br />All Hazards: In addition to wildfire, other natural disasters such as tornadoes, flooding, and <br />windstorms pose a threat as there are many areas/neighborhoods within the township that <br />are isolated without multiple forms of egress. <br /> <br />Other Stakeholders <br />Coon Creek Watershed District: <br />Flooding: The following areas in the Coon Creek Watershed District have been identified as <br />having a high risk of flooding due to a variety of factors including, proximity to water bodies, <br />the flat topography of Anoka County, and storm conveyance systems being overwhelmed in <br />large storm events: <br />Creekside Estates manufactured home park south of Egret Blvd. NW in Coon Rapids <br />Park of Four Seasons manufactured home park in Blaine <br />Blaine International Village manufactured home park in Blaine <br />Bridgewater Neighborhood in Coon Rapids <br />Northview Villa Community – Buchanon St. in Blaine <br />Neighborhood adjacent to Aurelia Park in Blaine <br />Northtown Mall along CR 10 NE in Blaine <br />th <br />Springbrook Apartments SW of University Ave and 85 Ave NW. in Fridley <br />th <br />Neighborhood NE of East River Rd. and 85 Ave NW in Coon Rapids <br />Neighborhood east of East River Rd. on Ironton St. NE and Hugo St. NE in Fridley <br />th <br />Neighborhood of Polk St. NE and 126 Ave NE in Blaine <br />Neighborhood around Broken Oaks Park in Blaine <br /> <br />Section 3 26 Hazards <br />35 <br /> <br />
