CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: March 12, 2026 Administration VI.6 TITLE OF ISSUE: Special Event/Park Facility Usage (Centennial Little League & Shake Your Shamrock) BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The Centennial Little League request is an annual request that the committee considers. Upon the receipt of the request schedules for the upcoming season have not been completed. The committee approves subject to schedules being submitted use allows for others to utilize the fields during the week and weekends. The Shake Your Shamrock Event is run by a very reputable running organization, is sponsored by Kelly's Korner, and has been an annual event for numerous years without incident. The committee approves subject to the organization making arrangements for public safety (police and fire), along with cleanup of the trails and no use of spray paint on the trails. Public Safety is aware of the event. COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: N/A REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to approve the recommendations fthe Parks & Recreation Committee subject to submittal of schedules, cleanup of trailsand no use of spray paint on the trails for the respective entitites.
