TITLE OF ISSUE: Rainbow Treecare - Emerald Ash Borer Treatment is Chosen & Preferred Vendor for Residential Treatment BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: For four years, the City has entered into contracts with Rainbow Treecare for treatment of city trees (parks and public land) if deemed appropriate. Rainbow Treecare has also offered reduced rates to residents to treat theirprivatelyowned trees. On a biennial basis the P.W. Director determines whether to continue treatmentofpreviously treated trees or to add new trees to be treated. Rainbow Treecare's contractis not based on whether or not city trees are treated and remains in effect even if the city chooses not to treat trees.
