CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />March 26, 2026 <br />Administration <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Council Adopted Tree Plan <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br /> the councilapproved a four year tree plan that was brought forward by the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee. <br />The Committee discussedthe difference in cost for in- <br />house installation versus having installation done by Gertens. The less expensive option is to have public works <br />install bareroot trees instead of Gertens installing the 20-25 gallon specimens. Many of the bareroot tree species <br />are the same species as the ones outlined in the tree plan The Park & Rec. Committeesuinternal <br />installation as long as all of the species in the tree plan are planted.
