CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: <br />March 26, 2026 <br />Administration <br />VI.7 <br />TITLE OF ISSUE: <br />Strategic Planning Training <br />BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: <br />The Minnesota City/County Management Association (MCMA) is partnering with Dr. Dave Webb, the author <br />of Homerun Leadership, to train leadership teams on how to master the strategic planning process in a 1 Day <br />Strategic Planning Process using city leadership software. <br />I have signed our leadership team up to include them in our strategic planning process. This training provides a <br />team building opportunity, and facilitates working together toward the development of organizational goals. <br />COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: <br />$2,500 General Fund <br />REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br />Motion to authorize the use of $2,500 to participate in the MCMA Strategic Planning Training session.
