City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 26, 2026 <br />Mayor Golden provided an opportunity for members to pull items for additional discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Rios to Approve the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. Roll Call: Mayor Golden, Council Members Broussard Vickers, Koski, <br />Kubat, and Rios in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />st <br />1. Tax Abatement Hearing for Equinox Development, LLC – 7181 – 21 Avenue <br /> <br />City Administrator Lewis stated that based on the presentations, the question is whether to call for a public <br />hearing on tax abatement. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Kubat to deny the request to call <br />for a public hearing regarding tax abatement for Equinox Development, LLC for the proposed <br />st <br />development at 7181-21 Avenue. Roll Call: Mayor Golden, Council Members Broussard Vickers, <br />Koski, Kubat, and Rios in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator Report – Administrator Lewis stated that the report was contained in the packet <br />for the council’s review and that she would take questions. <br /> <br />2. Council Report – The Mayor and Council thanked Council Member Kubat for his service. <br /> <br />a. Kubat – Council Member Kubat stated that he would be turning in a resignation letter to the mayor <br />following the close of the meeting. Council Member Kubat stated that he was relocating and <br />thanked everyone for the opportunity to serve. <br />(i) Park & Recreation Committee – Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br />(ii) Centennial Fire District Committee – Council Member Kubat gave no report. <br /> <br />b. Koski – Council Member Koski thanked Council Member Kubat for his year(s) of service. <br /> (i) Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> (ii) Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Council Member Koski gave no report <br />but stated that he had attended a fundraiser. <br /> (iii) Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> <br />c. Rios – Council Member Rios stated that she was sad to see Council Member Kubat resign and <br />stated that she appreciated his services to the community. <br />(i) Economic Development Authority – Council Member Rios reported that the February <br />18, 2026, meeting was light, they discussed holiday decorations in the downtown and a <br />shop local campaign that would be happening in April. <br />(ii) Parks and Recreation Committee – Council Member Rios gave no report. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
