City ofCenterville Planning & Zoning Meeting Minutes October 3, 2006 Chair Hanson asked whether the metal would be textured to prevent glare off the metal. The Architect explained that it is corrugated. Motion bv Commissioner Wood. seconded bv Commissioner Love. to set a Dublic hearinS! for November 14. 2006. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. 2. Comprehensive Plan Review City Administrator Larson suggested reviewing the goals and objectives and policies rather than a full revision since the City does not have much in the way of undeveloped land. He then explained that the City would not have a Planner on board until the first of the year and there would be a lot of work for that person to do to ensure that the Metropolitan Council requirements are met. Commissioner Pangell asked when this deadline is. City Administrator Larson indicated the deadline is near the end of 2008. Chair Hanson indicated that he would like to look at rezoning property along Main Street to commercial as well as property along 20th Avenue to commercial. The Commission and Staff discussed rezoning property along 20th Avenue and agreed to consider rezoning the property north of the creek to commercial. Commissioner Klennert Hunt said that she would like to find out what is going on across the border in Lino Lakes to match it and make it attractive to locate in Centerville. City Administrator Larson asked the Commission to review and bring forward any goals, objectives or priorities that should be removed or updated. v. NEW BUSINESS 1. Reschedule November Meeting Due to General Election to November 14. 2006 Motion bv Commissioner PanS!ell. seconded bv Commissioner Klennert Bunt. to reschedule the November PlanninS!
