<br />continue to take measures to insure protection of the park reselVe from adverse impacts <br />from inappropriate development in the area of the park reserve. <br /> <br />BicycleIPedestrian Trails <br />The City has prepared a trails plan that identifies a system of bikeways, trails and <br />sidewalks connecting City parks and major bicycle/pedestrian traffic generators. These <br />include schools, the downtown area, and Chain of Lakes Regional Park. The <br />bikeway/pedestrian system will include trails, on~street bike lanes (striped and signed), <br />on~street bike routes (signed only), and sidewalks. <br /> <br />Proposed trails in the City are identified on the Growth Management Plan (Figure #11). <br />They include the following routes or corridors: <br />· CSAH 14, from the north boundary of the City to the eastern boundary of <br />the City; <br /> <br />. CSAH 2], from the south boundary of the City to CSAH 14; and CSAH <br />14 to a proposed road approximately 1/2 mile north of CSAH 14~ <br /> <br />. Peltier Lake Drive, fonn CSAH 14 connecting to Acorn Creek Park; <br /> <br />· Clearwater Creek, from Peltier Lake to the western boundary of the City; <br /> <br />. County Road 54 from the southern boundary of the City to CSAH 14; <br /> <br />· A proposed collector street, from the southern boundary of the City to <br />CSAH 14; and <br /> <br />. A proposed collector street, from CSAH 21 connecting to and including <br />East Cedar Street. <br /> <br />Proposed corridors in areas being platted will be dedicated to the City as part of the <br />Cityls park dedication requirements. Implementation of the trails system will be included <br />in the Capital Improvements Program of the City. <br /> <br />51 <br />
