<br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-059 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES <br />FOR APPOINTMENTS TO COMMITTEE OR <br />COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has the duty of appointing members to serve on City <br />committee(s) and commission(s), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to facilitate timely and effective filling of vacancies on the <br />committee(s) and commissions, the Council hereby adopts the following guidelines for <br />said appointments: <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />CENTERVILLE, ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 <br /> <br />. Candidate(s) for consideration shall be in good standing with the City and not <br />have any of the following outstanding/unresolved: <br />o Delinquent utility bills/fees or fines <br />o Building code violations <br />o Ordinance violations <br />o Pending plat or development agreement <br /> <br />. Candidate(s) shall submit the designated documentation referenced below within <br />a time frame set by the Council: <br />o City form <br />o Resume or background letter summarizing the applicants qualifications <br /> <br />SECTION 2 <br /> <br />. All candidates will be provided an opportunity to interview with the Council <br />within a reasonable amount of time and within the Council's schedule. The <br />Council will endeavor to complete its review and appointment process within 21 <br />days. Prior to the interview City staff will provide to each candidate the <br />committee/commission bylaws and the City code of ethics. The interview will <br />consist of the following: <br />o Predetermined set of question approved by the Council <br />
