<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 28,2001 <br />10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held an open <br />meeting to interview candidates for the position of City Administrator on <br />September 28, 2001, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Tim Swedberg <br />Council Member Dick Travis <br />Council Member Mary Capra <br />Council Member Mari Nelson <br />Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 10: 10 a.m., Council Member Dick Travis left the <br />meeting at approximately 10: 15 a.ill. <br /> <br />II. APPEARANCES <br /> <br />Following earlier interviews, individually with Gregory Johnson, Garrison Hale, <br />Chantell Kadin, Kevin Caroll and Kim Moore-Sykes, the candidates were <br />interviewed by the whole council in this open meeting. Council Member Travis <br />was consulted via cell phone. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson.. seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />authorized Sathe Executive Search to offer the position of City Administrator to <br />Ms. Kim Moore-Sykes not to exceed an annual wage of $63.000. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (Council Member Travis not present. voted via cell <br />phone) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra. seconded by Council Member Nelson to <br />authorized Sathe Executive Search to offer the position of City Administrator to <br />Mr. Greg Johnson if it was previously declined by Ms. Moore-Sykes not to <br />exceed an annual wage of$58.000 plus the one-time moving expense of$5.000. <br />Motion carried unanimously. (Council Member Travis not present. voted via cell <br />phone) <br /> <br />Ill. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />adiourn the September 28. 2001 City Council Meeting at 1 :48 p.m. Motion <br />carried unanimously.
