Most ofthe information advises against holiday <br />parties. <br /> <br />In speaking with Staff about past holiday parties and trying to determine if there is a <br />"prior understanding" that Peter Tritz, Esq., references in a letter dated 12/24/86, they <br />indicated that this understanding may have existed with previous employees, but not <br />much with the current staff. <br /> <br />I also called Majestic Oaks to verify a reservation and I was told that the City has not <br />made a reservation for this year. The woman I talked to said that she could make a <br />reservation if we were interested, but that they do go fast. <br /> <br />I would recommend that if there is a desire to have a holiday party, that those who are <br />interested in attending, pay their way. Staff did indicate that the money normally spent <br />should be redirected to an event that recognizes volunteers in April. <br />
