Nyberg asked if they should <br />just finish the plans. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner authorizing MSA to proceed with the water <br />comprehensive plans. Wilharber asked the cost of the plan. Nyberg stated about $12, 000. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />March reported, as of September 31, Gregory Hellings will no longer be with Babcock, <br />Locher, Neilson & Mannella but will have an independent practice. Hellings has requested <br />the city to continue with him at the same rate. Wilharber addressed three issues of <br />concern: insurance coverage, backup coverage; ifhe were to be ill etc., and research <br />personal in the office. Buckbee agreed and suggested carrying out the remainder of the <br />year with him. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner to carry out the remainder of the year. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE REPORT: <br />Liaison Brenner reported the EDC Members requested staff to contact Anoka County for <br />assisstance programs that may be available for commercial and industrial development. <br />Further, EDC will be discussing the downtown zoning during the September 25, joint <br />meeting for the Comprehensive Plan. Brenner mentioned, Tim Rehbein will call the City <br />Engineer about flood plain issues, as EDC has several questions. <br /> <br />CITY SIGN: <br />March reported, Danell checked the funds regarding the Lions check of $1,160.00, it <br />appears the donated money was not spent and could go towards the Wall of Fame. <br />Mary Capra would like to meet with the council perhaps at a workshop. Further, Tim is <br />spearheading the project to have the sign installed. <br /> <br />PEBSCO: <br />March stated the PEBSCO deferred compensation plan would be no cost to the city <br />except once a month Danell would have to do some paper work. March requested a <br />resolution to allow city employees to be active in the deferred compensation. <br /> <br />MOTION by Buckbee, seconded by Brenner to approve a resolution for deferred <br />compensation for city employees. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FIRE TRUCK LOCATION: <br />Wilharber mentioned, Dan Tourville asked if there was any interest to restore or cover the <br />old fire truck. Wilharber questioned another location for the fire truck. Buckbee asked if <br /> <br />CC8-28J\1IM. WPS <br /> <br />4 <br />
