Commissioner of revenue may S 274.01, subd. 1 <br /> grant extension of time to city boards of review. Posted <br /> and published notice of meeting must be given by clerks <br /> at [east 10 days in advance. Board must complete its <br /> work within 20 days of convening. <br />May 31 Last day for statutory city council to adopt ordinance to Minn. Stat. <br /> hold municipal election on first Tuesday after first S 205.07 <br /> Monday in November of odd-numbered years, or change <br /> to even-year November elections. Clerk must notify <br /> county auditor and secretary of state of change. <br /> Ordinance does not take effect until 240 days after <br /> passage and publication unless it sets a later date. <br /> Within 180 days after passage and publication of <br /> ordinance, voters may petition for referendum that must <br /> take place at least 60 days after petition is submitted. <br />May 31 Last day prior to state primary and general elections to Minn. Stat. <br /> adopt precinct boundary change. Change cannot take S 2048.14, subd. <br /> effect until notice has been posted in clerk's office for at 4 <br /> least 60 days. <br />May 31 Last date certain cities may establish a single, accessible Minn. Stat. <br /> combined polling place. City must file ordinance or S 2048.14, subd. <br /> resolution establishing combined polling place with 2 <br /> county auditor within 30 days after approval. <br /> JUNE 2002 <br />June 1-July 1 Time period for county auditor to receive notice from Minn. Stat. <br /> secretary of state's office of offices to be voted on in state S 2048.33 <br /> general election. Auditor must notify city clerk within 10 <br /> days of receipt. Clerk must post notice promptly. <br />June 7 Last day for city to challenge population and household Minn. Stat. <br /> estimates from the state demographer. State S 4A.02 <br /> demographer office has until June 24 to create <br /> acceptable estimate. If estimate is not acceptable, city <br /> may notify demographer by July 1 of its intent to have <br /> I special census done. <br /> <br />31 <br />
