<br />A. Request "press-releases" or interviews be performed on a monthly basis from the city <br />newsletter. (This service is currently being provided by the newsletter producer.) This tool <br />would allow each business the opportunity to be in the spotlight. Currently there are 63 <br />businesses listed in the directory! This would allow for five years worth of local coverage for <br />our area businesses! <br />B. Sponsor a winter activity that promotes area businesses. <br />C. Conduct a trivia contest focusing on area businesses. <br /> <br />Obiective 3: Celebrate Centerville! <br /> <br />A. Maintain "Star City" Status <br />B. Offer and sell city-logo merchandise <br />C. Work with business owners and other city groups towards downtown revitalization <br />D. Maintain then "Welcome Neighbor" booklets as needed. <br />E. Develop an EDC brochure, focusing on the benefits of Centerville. This brochure could be <br />distributed to potential Centerville businesses or residents. <br /> <br />Obiective 4: Explore options to better benefit the entire Centerville Community <br /> <br />A. Recognize outstanding service through Citizen of the Year and Business Person of the Year <br />Awards. <br />B.Support and promote the Life Time Achievement Award. One member of the committee will <br />be allowed to serve on the LifeTime Achievement Award Committee. <br />C. As an advisory committee, review ordinance, zoning and other legalities upon request from <br />council, committees, business owners or residents. <br />D. Support community-based activities through use of our environment and resources. By <br />focusing on projects that encourage a sense of place, we can offer all businesses and residents a <br />feeling of belonging to Centerville. (Snow Days, Earth Day, National Night Out, <br />Neighborhood Watch, etc.) <br />
