~

\ \0\
lO
..;

--yY

Petition:

'iWe, the residents of Eagle Pass Twin homes Association of Centerville,
MN, and citizens of Centerville, MN, petition the city to declare Ojibway
Drive a city street.

Aationate:

1. Ojibway Drive is currently a private road belonging to our association.

2. Only 33% of our 18 member associates live on Ojibway Drive.

3. The developer's plan is to create a new and separate association when
construction is complete. Ojibway Drive would then be shared by two
separate groups of citizens.

4. Declaring Ojibway Drive a city street would also allow access to
residents of Chauncey Barrett Senior Center for walking and exercise in
our area. Currently many Chauncey Barrett residents choose to do this
daily. We welcome that, but it could not be continued because access
would not be available on a private road.

5. This will.DQt set a precedent for other private strreets, as Ojibway Drive
is uncompleted and appropriate planning can continue.

6. The turnaround loop at end of the proposed addition to Ojibway Drive is
not large enough for an emergency vehicle or school bus to turn around.

7. This is not an outlying, "fringe'i, project as we live in the center of
Centerville.

a. This would allow the Planning and Loning Committee and the
City Council to change, correct, and improve the design.

Thank You.

/~{llvd #,:))0/ C"-'-'~ ~
