Mayor Swedberg touched on several issues such <br />as communication, processes and goals for the next two years. <br /> <br />* Joel McPherson started on Monday in the public works department. Welcome aboard <br />Joel! <br /> <br />* Chicilo Homes picked up their building permit for their proposed industrial building. Mr. <br />Chicilo indicated they wanted to break ground as soon as possible. <br /> <br />* There is a vacancy on the Fete des Lacs committee. Contact City Hall if you are <br />interested in helping to plan the City celebration. <br /> <br />* Nominations are due on February 16th for the Citizen/Business/Lifetime Acheivement <br />awards. Forms are available at City Hall. <br /> <br />* I met with Mike Quigley from Gor-em Development yesterday. Mr. Quigley brought in a <br />sketch plan for the two outlots in Eagle Pass. They would like to develop these outlots with <br />20 single family townhomes. <br /> <br />* The planning and zoning commission has scheduled a workshop for next week Tuesday <br />at 6:30. They plan to discuss mini-storage proposals in the community. <br /> <br />* The Fire Steering Committee is scheduled to meet next week Thursday at 3:30. <br /> <br />* The next Council meeting has been changed to Thursday I February 15th at 6:00 at City <br />Hall. <br /> <br />* I met with Jack Stanslaski of KCI Construction yesterday. They have purchased a lot in <br />the Royal Industrial Park and would like to build an industrial building to be leased to up to <br /> <br />2/9/01 <br />
