<br />CENTENNIAL FIRE DISTRICT <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> <br />approved at a special or regular meeting of the committee. A monthly bill list shall <br />be submitted to each municipality at their first regular city council meeting. <br /> <br />2.4 <br /> <br />Comoensation. Committee members shall serve without compensation from the <br />District, but nothing herein shall be construed to prevent a member municipality <br />from compensating its committee members for service on the committee as such <br />compensation is otherwise authorized by law. <br /> <br />2.5 <br /> <br />Quorum. Four (4) of six (6) regular committee members during special or <br />quarterly meetings shall constitute a quorum provided each municipality is <br />represented by at least one Committee Member, except in situations of default <br />when three (3) offour (4) committee members shall constitute a quorum. <br /> <br />2.6 <br /> <br />v otin2. Each committee member present at the meeting other than ex officio <br />administrative staff members shall be entitled to one (1) vote. Unless otherwise <br />provided in this agreement the committee may take the action on any issue by a <br />fifty-one (51 %) percent or greater vote of those members present and entitled to <br />vote at a duly called meeting, subject to the quorum requirement of section 2.5. <br /> <br />In the absence of the designated committee elected official, the designated elected <br />official alternate of that municipality shall become a voting member of the <br />committee. <br /> <br />There shall be voting by proxy. Votes must be cast at a committee meeting by a <br />committee member. <br /> <br />Administrative staff approval of payment of bills as in section 2.3 shall require <br />unanimous agreement. <br /> <br />2.7 <br /> <br />Default. Votin2 Authority. No committee member shall be eligible to vote on <br />behalf of the municipality that appointed said committee member during such time <br />as the municipality is in default of terms or provisions of this agreement. During <br />the existence of such default, the vote or votes of such municipality shall not be <br />counted for the purposes of this agreement. Committee members representing a <br />municipality in default shall not be counted for the purpose of determining a <br />quorum. <br /> <br />2.8 <br /> <br />District office. The office of the District shall be 7741 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, <br />MN 55014 or such locations as the committee deems necessary.
