<br />CENTENNIAL FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION BYLAWS <br /> <br />ARTICLE I <br /> <br />MEMBERSHIP <br /> <br />Section 1. <br />Any regular active member in good sLanding of the Centennial <br />Fire Department is eligible to be a member in relief <br />associaLion after a 12 month probation period. The first of <br />each year a membership verification list from the Centennial <br />Fire Department of each eligible member in good standing <br />shall be given the kelief Association secretary by the <br />District Centennial Chief. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br />ResignaLion or expulsion from the Centennial Fire <br />Department, shall terminate the membership of the member so <br />resigning, expelled or removing; provided, however. that any <br />member who has served for at least the minimum number of <br />years required by Article VIII of these bylaws for vesting <br />of pension rights as an active member of the Centennial Fire <br />Department shall retain his membership in this association, <br />regardless of resignation or removal, subject to regulations <br />which may be from time to time imposed. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br />Each member shall pay to the association annual dues of <br />$10.00, payable on or before the date of the annual meeting <br />of each year. <br /> <br />Section 4. <br />Any member of the association who fails to pay his dues to <br />the association within thirty days of the time when such <br />payment was due, stands suspended from membership and <br />forfeits all rights and benefits thereunder by such non- <br />payment without any aCLion by the association, or by any <br />officer thereof. <br /> <br />Section 5. <br />Any member who shall, in the opinion of a majority of the <br />board of trustees, fraudulently claim benefits from. or <br />defraud or attempt to defraud the association in any way, <br />shall be suspended from membership at a Regular or Special <br />Meeting and he shall forfeit all further rights to benefits <br />from the association. Notice of the meeting and written <br />statement of charges shall be given to such member at least <br />five (5) days excluding the date of the meeting, in advance <br />of the meeting.
