'Ja;c (651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTYOFANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 00 - 18 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TAX RATE INCREASE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The State of Minnesota has enacted Chapter 243, Laws of Minnesota 1999, <br />Article 6, Section 2 requiring municipal governments to have adopted and filed an <br />authorizing resolution if its municipality tax rate turns out to be higher the following year <br />than a theoretical tax rate for the previous year under the law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are numerous factors that are beyond control, the City of Centerville <br />may need to have a higher tax rate for the following year, and if the tax rate has to go up, <br />the City of Centerville wishes to be in compliance with the law with an authorizing <br />resolution being filed with Anoka County; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that if the tax rate of the City ofCenterville <br />for the year 2001 is higher than the tax rate certified by the City of Centerville under <br />clause (3) of Section 2, Article 6, Chapter 243, Laws of Minnesota 1999, the higher tax <br />rate is hereby authorized by the City of Centerville City Council. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an official copy of this adopted resolution be filed <br />with the Anoka County Auditor, who for purposes of this law in Anoka County is the <br />Division Manager of Property Records and Taxation. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted this 13th day of <br />September, 2000. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Jim March, City Administrator <br />
