He then told <br />the residents the City Attorney will check into the issue to see if there is anything <br />the City may do to enforce and address the issues brought forth. <br /> <br />Bill Bisek from Kelly's Korner <br /> <br />Bill Bisek appeared before the Council and discussed with the Council the 3rd <br />Annual Kelly's Korner Customer Appreciation Event. He indicated the Rockin' <br />Hollywoods would be performing outside during the evening of October 14,2000 <br />from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. He indicated there would also be a pig roast. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber and the Council told Mr. Bisek there were two (2) or three (3) <br />complaints of noise last year. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers said a citizen recommended the celebration <br />end earlier this year. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member <br />Broussard Vickers to approve the noise permit to allow Kellv's Korner <br />Customer Appreciation Event to proceed as planned. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COlJncil Memher Travis Hsked if there would be a prohlem with enciing at 11 :00 <br />p.m. Mr. Bisek indicated it was not a problem but it would mean a 7:00 o'clock <br />start which is a little early since most people have to eat dinner, get the babysitter, <br />and they would miss a lot of the show. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated since this event occurs once a year, and if it is advertised <br />well, the public will be aware that the event is going on and can plan accordingly. <br /> <br />Mr. Bisek indicated they do send out letters to residents within three hundred fifty <br />(350) feet and invite them over to enjoy the day, at no cost to them, and said the <br />event was very well attended by the neighbors. He also said if he needs to do <br />some thing to better inform residents of what is going on, he will certainly do that. <br /> <br />Adult Sport Leagues, Bill Bisek <br /> <br />Mr. Bisek said last Wednesday he went to the Parks and Recreation Committee <br />meeting and explained he was approached by many residents in the community <br />for sports entertainment. He indicated there are no organized sports in town <br />except for little league baseball. He explained in years past there was a business <br />in town taking care of part of that with an adult softball league and broomball in <br />the winter. <br /> <br />Page 11 of22 <br />
