<br />Effective 9/5/00 <br />City of CentervilIe Ord. #4 <br /> <br />orderly condition at all times, including the replacement of defective <br />parts, cleaning and other items required for the maintenance of the <br />sign. Vegetation around, in front of, behind, and underneath the base <br />of ground signs for a distance of ten (10) feet shall be neatly <br />trimmed and free of weeds, and no rubbish or debris that would <br />constitute a fire or health hazard shall be permitted under or near the <br />sign. <br /> <br />J. No signs may be placed on utility poles in the community. <br /> <br />K. There may be no more than one identical sign per lot in a residentially <br />zoned area. <br /> <br />Section 110-020: Permitted Signs. <br /> <br />A. Campaign signs posted by bona fide candidates for political office or <br />by a person orgroup promoting a political issue for a candidate may <br />be placed in any district subject to the requirements of the district. <br />Campaign signs may be posted for a period not to exceed sixty (60) <br />days and shall]Se removed within seven days following the date of <br />the. election. .Onlyonesign per candidate will be allowed per lot. <br /> <br />B. Temporary banners and pennants employed for grand opening of <br />business establishments, special events and holidays shall be <br />removed within fourteen (14) days after such an opening, event or <br />holiday. Banners or pennants which are an integral part ofthe design <br />or architecture of a building are permitted. <br /> <br />C. One temporary identification sign, setting forth the name of the <br />project, architect, engineers. contractors, planners and financing <br />agencies, may be installed ata construction site in any district for the <br />period of construction.> The sign area of a temporary identification <br />sign shall not exceed thirty-five (35) square feet. <br /> <br />D. In any district, one temporary real estate sign may be erected for the <br />purpose of advertisin~fthe lease .or sale of property upon which it is <br />placed. Onlyone such sign shall be permitted per street frontage. <br />Such sign shall be removed within seven (7) days following lease or <br />sale. <br /> <br />E.
