PAYMENT OF CLAIMS <br /> <br />The City of Centerville October 26, through November 8, 2000 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Travis to <br />approve the expenditures for the City from October 26. 2000 through November 8. <br />2000. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Centennial Fire District Expenses <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Travis. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to <br />approve the Centennial Fire District expenditures in the amount of $39.957.94. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Pay Estimate # 1 - Lift Station #2 <br /> <br />City Engineer Peterson, stated that the presented pay estimate included work completed <br />through October 27,2000. The Pay Estimate included billing for the following services: <br />demolition and removal of the existing pumps and controls; installation of the valve <br />vault; installation of the new pumps; all underground piping; and initial site work. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve Pay Estimate #1 for Lift Station #2 in the amount of $41.714.50. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VII. PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated that she had received a telephone call <br />concerning the condition of the residence located at 7121 Centerville Road. She noted <br />the item was on the agenda and would reserve comment until the item was heard. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber indicated he had received several complaints concerning an ongoing <br />garage sale at the intersection of Peltier Lake Drive and Main Street and requested that a <br />letter be forwarded to the property owner notifying them of the nuisance ordinance. <br /> <br />Council Member Sweeney stated he had received a complaint concerning the closing of <br />Centerville Road due to the sewer leak. <br /> <br />Mr. March indicated he had received a call from the on-duty, Public Works employee at <br />approximately 7:00 a.m. on Saturday concerning a leak in the 10" sewer force main <br /> <br />Page 3 of 10 <br />
